Friends of the Rosary:
Today’s society attempts everything in its power to erase the meaning of sin.
Sin just seems like another way of behaving.
In this context, the necessary Christian correction of our brothers when they fall looks like an extravagance.
Christianity seems like just another perspective, and sacraments are perceived as an extremely radical solution.
In this Sunday’s Gospel (St. Matthew 18:15-20), we learn about our obligation to encourage erring brothers to give up their sinful ways.
We must offer advice and encouragement when it is needed, and correction in private where that is possible.
And as active members of Christ’s mystical body, we correct with kindness and charity those who fall into sin.
Christ Jesus wants us to fulfill this obligation as part of our apostolic mission on earth.
We are obliged to help our fellowmen on the road to heaven by giving them a good example of a truly Christian way of living.
Ave Maria!
Jesus, I Trust In You!
To Jesus through Mary!
