Friends of the Rosary,
Today, on this Friday of the First Week of Lent, Christ the Lord (Matthew 5:20-26) commands us to be reconciled with one another.
“If you recall that your brother has anything against you, go first and be reconciled.”
To reconcile with our brothers, we first need to forgive.
A lack of forgiveness in us blocks the flow of divine grace.
We resist forgiving because we feel that some injustice has done to us, and we resent it.
But what did we do for the innocent Jesus? He was treated unjustly and suffered the ultimate injustice.
Kneeling before the cross and seeing the suffering servant who forgave his persecutors will greatly help us to understand the mystery of forgiveness.

Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will.
