Today, the Third Sunday of Advent is known as Gaudete Sunday. The term Gaudete means “Rejoice.”
We light the rose-colored candle of Advent and emphasize our joy as Christmas draws near.
We the faithful await the feast of the Lord’s Nativity while praying to receive the joy of our salvation in Jesus Christ and share the glory of His Kingdom here on Earth.
