Friends of the Rosary,
Today is the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patron of all the Americas and the pro-life movement.
The Virgin Mary appeared to Juan Diego on December of 1531. She left a marvelous portrait of herself on the mantle, or tilma, of Juan Diego—now kept in the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City.
Five centuries later, the tilma is still in perfect condition. No paint was used, and chemical analysis has not been able to identify the color imprint.
Also, to be highlighted today the words of Our Lady of Guadalupe to St. Juan Diego: “Let not your heart be disturbed. Do not fear that sickness, nor any other sickness or anguish. Am I not here, who is your Mother? Are you not under my protection? Am I not your health?”
