In this fourth week of Advent, we continue reflecting upon the revelations from Jesus to the mystic Luisa Piccarreta.
These revelations revolve around the excesses of Christ’s love for humanity.
Jesus’ Divinity forms the most intimate union between the Eternal Word and the creatures.
Conceived in the Womb of His Mother, Christ Jesus delights in our company and wished to live in constant and mutual love with us.
God is unconditional and infinite love in action. If we were convinced of this truth our life would never be the same.
Jesus said:
“Poor me! In exchange for my love, I receive constantly only sorrow and pains! In fact, a number of my creatures do not even want to listen to my word of eternal Life and some avoid my company. Others escape from my love; others go away from me; others turn a deaf ear and so silence me. But it is not all: because there is also those who despise me and offend me directly. The first ones have no attention for my goods and my Kingdom; and for my kisses and my caresses, I only receive in return indifference and forgetting. Then, this game that I wanted to play with my creatures becomes silence and indifference. The others – and it is the majority – prevent me from spreading on them the love of my heart and make me shed tears. Thus, not only my love does not find comfort, but it is turned and mocked, despised and offended.”
