Friends of the Rosary,
As we learned in the Gospel (Mt 10:1-7), Jesus fulfills his invitation to the first disciples: “Come after me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
Jesus gave his Twelve disciples authority over unclean spirits to drive them out
and to cure every disease and every illness and sent them out after instructing them,
“Do not go into pagan territory or enter a Samaritan town.
Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
As you go, make this proclamation: ‘The Kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
Note that Jesus is not offering a set of ideas or theological teachings. He is offering himself.
“God is the one who makes us from nothing. To live in sin is to live outside of the creative power of God, to pretend that we can make ourselves,” Bishop Barron writes.
“He makes us is always a reflection of himself: a fisher of men. He is a fisher of people and wants us to be.”
Ave Maria!
Jesus, I Trust In You!
Come, Holy Spirit, come!
To Jesus through Mary!
