As humans, our most precious property is our soul. We must take care permanently of our individual soul, which God created for eternity. It requires us to live vigilant, detecting and rejecting all threats and attacks from the Evil One and his collaborators on Earth.
Yesterday, we heard about the vision of hell of the three shepherds of Fatima. Last Saturday we read on the Gospel (Matthew 10:24-33) how Jesus instructed His disciples in this regard. “Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, be afraid of the one who can destroy both body and soul in Gehenna.”
To avoid falling into darkness, we love God and surrender to Him in mind, body, and soul. Then we are rooted in a power that transcends space and time, and it’s greater than life and death. This is the mystery of life, and in order to apprehend it, we trust in Jesus and Mary.
