Friends of the Rosary,

Yesterday, we learned that Christ is a new ordo, a new way of ordering things under His kingship. He invites us to relieve our burdens, concerns, fears, and sins. He is tied with each one of us.

Today in the reading (Matthew 12:1–8), the Lord tells us, “I desire mercy, not sacrifice.”

We don’t deserve His mercy, but He offers it graciously, without reservation, without being earned. It’s the Divine mercy poured out upon us so we are transformed with Him and within Him.

That’s why we are worthy. He loves us unconditionally, regardless of our past and our sins. Like every saint, each of us has a past, and so we also have a future after conversion.

The divine mercy is like that: poured out upon us, poured out —and not because it’s earned, because it can’t be earned.
