Mariupol is the most devastated city in Ukraine. The Russian army seems to seek to starve the citizens while they bomb them. Even hospitals are being hit. There are reports that Russian troops are holding people hostage in hospitals.
Catholic prayer groups are noting that Satan is going crazy because Mariupol is the city of Mary. There, we find a Pauline monastery and a painting of the Black Madonna — the Ukrainian equivalent of the Polish Jasma Gora, Our Lady of Czestochowa. [In the picture]
A local priest, Fr. Marek Kowalski is requesting westerners to do fasting and prayer as effective tools to defeat the Devil.
