Friends of the Rosary:
Fear of contagion or getting sick due to the coronavirus has been a dominant feeling since the pandemic started in March 2021. Losing health is not our only fear. Our lives are often marked by distress and anxiety.
We are afraid of losing loved ones, friends, money, properties, pleasures, power, and ultimately, our life itself. The Prince of Lies thrives with our agitation and despair. Our goal should be to seek peace and holiness.
The only real peace comes from Jesus and Mary. The Redeemer of the world reminded this to us in yesterday’s reading (John 14:27-31a): “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.”
Jesus Christ is the antidote for fear. What can scare us if the Author of Life lives in us and Our Blessed Mother intercedes for us?
