May 9, 2023, Tuesday of the Fifth Week of Easter, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries)

In today’s reading (Jn 14:27-31a), Jesus promises his Second Coming.

“I am going away and I will come back to you.”

Christ also said to his disciples:

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give it to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled or afraid.”

Christianity is a religion of salvation and fulfillment, but it’s also a religion of waiting. We stay vigilant while Christ comes again.

And we wait avoiding any anxiety and distress.
