October 19, 2020, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | Comment: Divine Aid

• October 19, 2020, Holy Rosary at 7:30 pm ET, at YouTube.com/TheRosaryNetwork • Audio Podcast available by 6:00 pm ET Last Saturday we read how Jesus Christ promised divine aid to the apostles (LK 12:8-12). Jesus Christ’s followers cannot succeed in spreading the truth and saving souls only with earthly tools. In our mission, we need the Helper, the Holy Spirit, and His espouse, the Virgin Mary. Through prayer, the Holy Ghost comes and assists us. Supernatural help has kept the Catholic Church alive in the last twenty centuries, despite incessant persecution. Evil forces’ goal has always been to eliminate the belief in the Son of the Living God. The darkness has tried everything and will continue doing so. However, in the end, the Church will prevail, as Jesus revealed it to us. Don’t forget that the Immaculate Mary did crush the head of the serpent-dragon. As Padre Pio said, the Rosary is our weapon against the evils of the world today. "The Rosary is the prayer of those who triumph over everything and everyone." October 12, 2020, Feast of Our Lady of the Pillar, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | Comment: First Marian Apparition

• October 12, 2020, Holy Rosary at TheRosaryNetwork.org/youtube • Audio Podcast available by 8:00 pm ET We celebrate today not only Columbus or the Indigenous Day but most importantly the feast of Our Lady of the Pillar, Nuestra Señora del Pilar. The Virgin of the Pillar is the patron of Spain and all Hispanic people. Precisely, on October 12, 1492, the feast of the Virgin of the Pillar, Christopher Colombus first sighted American land, and that’s when the first Mass was celebrated in this continent. Nuestra Señora del Pilar has its origin in the first Marian apparition in history, which took place in the year 40, in Saragossa, Spain, when the Mother of God was physically alive on earth. Saint James the apostle was trying to evangelize pagans without much success in the old Hispania, a Roman province. Then the Virgin Mary appeared to him on a column, on a pillar in the bank of the river Ebro. The Immaculate encouraged James promising that she would stand "from that moment until the end of time in order that God may work miracles and wonders through my intercession for all those who place themselves under my patronage." The shrine of Our Lady of the Pillar in Saragossa is the first church dedicated to Mary in history. Today is a monumental, impressive basilica. It has survived invasions and wars. In the Spanish Civil War of 1936-1939 anti-catholic forces in government dropped three bombs on the church and none of them exploded. [Written by Mikel A | The Rosary Network, New York]   — Our Lady of the Pillar is the luminous column that connects mankind and Divinity. For receiving the grace of the Virgin Mary, gate of Heaven and way to Jesus Christ. Spain and later the Americas experienced the influence of the Immaculate Mary. Now Spain is a country really lost, under the assault of dark forces. We pray for this country so it will recover its identity as the land of Mary, getting the faith back.

October 11, 2020, Holy Rosary (Glorious Mysteries) | Comment: Blessed Carlo Acutis

• October 11, 2020, Holy Rosary at 7:30 pm ET, at TheRosaryNetwork.org/youtube • Audio Podcast available by 8:00 pm ET On Saturday 10, in Assisi, Italy, Carlo Acutis, a 15-years old Italian web programmer, became the first millennial to be beatified by the Catholic Church. Now he is one step away from canonization. Blessed Carlo Acutis died of leukemia in Milan on October 12, 2006, on the feast of Our Lady of Pillar (Virgen del Pilar). He offered his illness and his pains for the Pope and the Church. The mass at the Basilica of St. Francis of Assisi drew huge attention worldwide given that Acutis has inspired many young people by his witness. Carlo Acutis was an ordinary, spontaneous, likable boy who loved the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. He often said, "the Eucharist is my highway to heaven". At the age of seven, he wrote: "To be always united with Jesus, this is my life program." Carlo felt a strong need to show people that Jesus Christ is close to us and it is beautiful to enjoy his friendship and grace. He went to Mass and prayed the Rosary every day while practicing charitable acts. [Written by Mikel A | The Rosary Network, New York] __ For following the example of the Blessed Carlo Acutis, who brought the fruit of holiness, showing that this is a goal reachable by all of us. For the end of the pandemic by turning into Our Blessed Mother. The COVID pandemic is a reminder of our shared vulnerability, but also our common responsibility for the good of one another. For receiving the grace of the glorious mysteries, making our souls faithful, hopeful, wise, and devoted to Mary. Carlos Acutis pray for us!   Images of Carlo Acutis are everywhere you turn in Assisi this weekend 🙏👨🏻‍💻🎮 pic.twitter.com/fTB91fJrtj — Courtney Mares (@catholicourtney) October 9, 2020 In Brazil, a boy named Mattheus was healed of a fatal disease, through, the Church says, the prayers of Carlo Acutis. https://t.co/HhRdHekloW — Catholic News Agency (@cnalive) October 10, 2020

October 10, 2020, Holy Rosary (Joyful Mysteries) | Comment: Hope on Earth

• October 10, 2020, Holy Rosary at 7:30 pm ET, at TheRosaryNetwork.org/youtube • Audio Podcast available by 8:00 pm ET The Virgin Mary is the daughter of the Father, the Mother of the Son of God, and the spouse of the Holy Spirit. No other creature ever created has a more intimate connection to the Holy Trinity. The Queen of Heaven – who is all-perfection – is our joy in life, our sweetness, and our hope here on Earth. The Most Holy Rosary is a gift to humanity that came through the Virgin Mary. The Rosary reminds us of the moment when God became man, the Word made Flesh, along with nineteen other mysteries that we try to understand. The same way that God came to us through the Immaculate Mary, we can go to Him through Her. Let’s rejoice by praying today the Joyful Mysteries. October 9, 2020, Holy Rosary (Sorrowful Mysteries) | Comment: Working with Jesus

• October 9, 2020, Holy Rosary at 7:30 pm ET, at TheRosaryNetwork.org/youtube • Audio Podcast available by 8:00 pm ET "Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters." These are the words of Jesus Christ, as we read today in the Gospel (LK 11:15-26). The Son of God is extremely merciful and patient waiting for our conversion. But at the same time, He is crystal clear on the path of our salvation. "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6) Friends, we tend to look to alternative ways to the truth, especially in these pandemic times. However, the reality is that either we are working with Jesus Christ or we are working against Him. He said, ”Whoever is not with me is against me." Our Rosary is a reminder of this fundamental truth. [Written by Mikel A | The Rosary Network, New York] — For unconditionally surrendering to Jesus Christ and embracing the only way that leads us to our earthly and eternal salvation. For meeting Jesus Christ through Mary while we pray the mysteries of the passion and death of Jesus Christ. May the tears of the Mother of God lead to our salvation. “Anyone who isn’t with me opposes me, and anyone who isn’t working with me is actually working against me." Where do you stand on this question?
