The Rosary of the Virgin Mary is meant to be prayed. And when prayed, we need to be open to the Holy Spirit and be led by Divinity. At least, during the 20 to 30 minutes of the prayer duration, we should lose control, and even self-deny ourselves. The Rosary will change us over time. Our perceptions, thoughts, as well as our social and political ideas, will be changed. And since the Holy Rosary is a tool of orthodoxy and a school of Christian life, we will end up defending the Catechism, life of the unborn, marriage, sacraments, the Holy Eucharist, and the Blessed Mother. The Most Holy Virgin will lead us to her divine Son and life of Earth will be transformed. Let's say, ideally every day, the Marian prayer, and see what happens. Ave Maria! Full of arrogance, we say to Heaven: “Well, if you want me to believe just give me a big sign”. “No sign? No faith.” We are like the Ninevites of the ancient large city—described in the Gospel's reading this Wednesday (Luke 11:29–32). Nothing new under the sun. What is the Divinity's response? He sends a prophet to teach the Truth and call to conversion. At that time it was Jonah; in our time is Jesus Christ—not only a prophet but the Son of God Himself. Will we react by abandoning our worldly pleasures and nonsense preoccupations? Nineveh turned into God. There is an opportunity for us, as well. Lent is the perfect season for it. Many priests state it causing much trouble among the faithful. In The New Testament, Jesus mentions the existence of demons forty times. Jesus Himself —True Man and True God—was tempted by the Devil, as we read this Sunday. The Evil Doer is a silent lion that waits for his moment to devour us. When we drop our defenses and fall into temptation, our communion with the Divinity breaks and a dramatic process of personal destruction begins. How many people are broken and hopeless today? Unwillingly, we are seating Satan at our table, seeing the devastating consequences. We must fight the demons around us and embrace the Grace of Jesus Christ.
