Most people don't feel the need for confession. Moreover, many say, "I haven't killed anyone, I do not lie, I'm a good person." Another typical answer is, "I don't have any sins." "Well," I answered yesterday to a family member, "that's precisely a sin: lack of humility for not acknowledging our sins; only Jesus and Mary had no sins." A diminished sense of sin is an anomaly dominant in our society. No one is perfect. And that's why we need to be cleansed before approaching the Lord. For that, we confess our sins to a priest and receive the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation. This Lent is the perfect time for it. Ave Maria! On March 21, 2020, when the pandemic broke, we prayed our first Rosary online. It was a modest live broadcast on YouTube from an improvised home studio in Greenwich, Connecticut. Since then, we’ve prayed 730 Rosaries, one per day. You can check all of them on our YouTube channel. It’s a miracle that we haven’t missed any single day. Only the grace of God channeled through the Blessed Virgin Mary, explains that amazing achievement. Luckily, we are instruments in the hands of the Divine Mercy. We rejoice in being useful collaborators. In these two years, we’ve seen and experienced almost everything, including the painful passing of my holy wife Maria Blanca, to whom this apostolate is dedicated. We are still heartbroken. But, as my wife said to us, “we live for God.” Our faith is our richness and our Holy Rosary is the tool for survival. Why Putin did go into war? Who pushed him? What's the money at stake? What's the role of weapons manufacturers and their promoters? Why negotiations do not result in peace? Who wins with the delay of stopping the conflict? One outcome is clear: the poor people and the middle class are the ones who suffer the most in any war. If there is a consolation, the last ones will be the first ones in the Kingdom of Heaven, as Jesus said. Any war is an invention of the Devil, said Pope Francis.
