Today's Holy Rosary Friends of the Rosary, Jesus tells us to work for the food that endures for eternal life. This past Sunday, we saw that the two apostles marching to Emmaus only recognized Jesus when He broke the bread. It’s a Mystery of Faith –and a wonderful miracle– that the body and blood of Jesus are present in the Eucharist. By eating the bread of life, we unite with Jesus Christ becoming one body, the mystical body. In these two months of confinement, due to the pandemic, we are not receiving the Eucharist, which is the Real Presence of Christ. This is concerning. Fifty years ago, our Lady of Mount Carmel, in Garabandal, Spain, warned us about the danger of not properly receiving the Eucharistic bread and blood of Jesus. Let’s implore to our Lady She grants us the grace to worship Jesus through the eyes of faith. Today is Divine Mercy Sunday. A devotion that follows what Saint Faustina Kowalska revealed after She encounters with the Divinity. Jesus, who is all-loving and all-merciful, takes care of us and spreads His grace upon us. We certainly suffer through all kinds of trials and difficulties, and this pandemic is an ongoing trial. We might not understand why of all this suffering. All this hardship, and adversities, are opportunities to improve and purify ourselves. It’s like huge testing for our soul. But when we overcome these trials, we experience joy and peace here on earth, and we put ourselves in the path to Heaven. But there will be real joy and hope. And we will be on the path to eternal happiness. https://youtu.be/MSvSJUDyVzs Like Jesus’ disciples, we are troubled and questions arise in our minds, especially during this coronavirus pandemic time. And what Jesus does? We see it in today’s reading. The Risen One suddenly appears in the midst of the disciples and shows them his wounded hands and feet. And said to them: “Peace be with you”. He is not revengeful but peaceful, full of divine mercy. Disciples’ incredulity gets transformed in joy. We need to open our minds and our heart, repent from our sins (big or small) and trust in Jesus. When we do that our life gets immediately changed, and we experience joy and hope. It’s magical; well, truthfully, it’s a mystery. But it happens this way. The forgiveness of sins opens the door to hope. Today’s Luminous Mysteries show us how to overcome our day-to-day fear and anxiety. We just need to place our sights in Jesus and Mary.
