Mark the Evangelist narrates in today’s reading (Mk 16:9-15) that Jesus appeared to the Eleven apostles when they were at the table and rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart “because they had not believed those who saw him after he had been raised,” that is, Mary Magdalene and the two disciples walking to Emmaus.
Jesus said to them, “Go into the whole world and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.”
