Friends of the Rosary:
This Sunday we start the liturgical season of Advent, represented by the liturgical color purple—a symbol of penance and the sorrow of a contrite heart. After the 22 days of Advent, we will begin the Christmas season, with the liturgical color of white or gold—a symbol of joy, purity, and innocence.
The Pope’s intentions for this month go to people living with disabilities, so they may be at the center of attention in society, and institutions may offer inclusive programs.
This month of December is dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, whose solemnity day is December 8th.
The main feasts of Advent are:
St. Francis Xavier (December 3),
St. John Damascene (December 4),
St. Nicholas (December 6),
St. Ambrose (December 7),
Immaculate Conception (December 8),
St. Juan Diego (December 9),
Our Lady of Loreto (December 10),
St. Damasus I (December 11),
Our Lady of Guadalupe (December 12),
St. Lucy (December 13),
St. John of the Cross (December 14),
St. Peter Canisius (December 21),
St. John of Kanty (December 23).
Ave Maria!
Jesus, I Trust In You!
To Jesus through Mary!
