Friends of the Rosary:
Serving Christ Jesus is a cause for joy.
Yesterday, we celebrated Gaudete Sunday, meaning Rejoice Sunday. And as Christmas draws near, the Church emphasizes the joy which should be in our hearts. The Lord will come again in His glory to lead them into His kingdom.
In the chant of the Magnificat (Lk 1:46-48, 49-50, 53-54), the Blessed Mother proclaimed, “My soul rejoices in my God.” “My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord; my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has looked upon his lowly servant.”
St. Paul (1 Thes 5:16-24) invited us to “rejoice always.”
To be joyful, we have to give thanks all the time and pray without ceasing. This is the way of the Divinity.
Authentic Christian joy emerges by the grace of God when we are closer to our Lord and build together the Kingdom of Heaven.
