Friends of the Rosary,
Today, on the Sunday after Trinity Sunday, we celebrate the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, the Corpus Christi.
In today’s Eucharistic solemnity, we focus on the spiritual power of the Eucharist and commemorate the institution of that sacrament.
As we read today in (Mark 14:22-24):
“While they were eating, he took bread, said the blessing, broke it, gave it to them, and said, “Take it; this is my body.” Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, and they all drank from it. He said to them, “This is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed for many.”
This passage shows that Jesus Christ’s presence is not symbolic and evocative, but rather true and real.
It’s the doctrine of the Real Presence, which is central to the Church of God.
Christ is substantially present in the forms of bread and wine in the consecrated host.
“Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you do not have life within you,” said the Son of God in John’s chapter sixth.
Christ gives us His own body and we become what we receive.
With the Eucharist, we are transformed into Him, sharing His divinity.
Ave Maria!
Jesus, I Trust In You!
Come, Holy Spirit, come!
To Jesus through Mary!
