Friends of the Rosary,
Happy New Year in Christ!
Once again, we see in today’s Gospel (John 3:22-30) the greatness of John the Baptist, the forerunner of the Lord. Prophetically, he said, “He must increase; I must decrease.”
In parallel, in his first letter (1 John 5:14-21), we see John alerting us against idols and revealing that the Evil One cannot touch whoever is with Christ.
“We know that we belong to God,
and the whole world is under the power of the Evil One.
We also know that the Son of God has come
and has given us discernment to know the one who is true.
And we are in the one who is true,
in his Son Jesus Christ.
He is the true God and eternal life.
Children, be on your guard against idols.”
Whenever we decrease by humbling ourselves, our identity in Christ increases.
Ave Maria!
Jesus, I Trust In You!
Come, Holy Spirit, come!
To Jesus through Mary!
