Friends of the Rosary,

Today, January 28, is the Feast Day of St. Thomas Aquinas, an Italian Dominican priest from the thirteenth century and Doctor of the Church, known for this insightful Summa Theologiae, a masterful presentation of the sacred doctrine.

He also wrote liturgical texts like the Pange Lingua Gloriosi, Tantum Ergo, and Salutaris Hostia.

At the end of his life, a sacristan in Naples witnessed an exchange between Christ and Thomas praying before a crucifix: “You have written well of me, Thomas; what is your reward to be?”

Thomas replied, “Nothing but yourself, Lord.”

Ave Maria!
Jesus, I Trust In You!
Come, Holy Spirit, come!
To Jesus through Mary!
