Friends of the Rosary,
Christ Jesus wants us to redirect our attention to the treasures of eternity in heaven, as we are reading today in the Gospel (Matthew 6:19-23):
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth,
where moth and decay destroy, and thieves break in and steal.
But store up treasures in heaven,
where neither moth nor decay destroys, nor thieves break in and steal.
For where your treasure is, there also will your heart be.”
Regardless of how exciting and beautiful something is on earth, it is destined to pass away. What doesn’t pass is the light of God.
Therefore, we rightly set our priorities and understand that what matters is to be filled with the light of the Holy Spirit.
In this regard, the Master teaches us:
“The lamp of the body is the eye.
If your eye is sound, your whole body will be filled with light;
but if your eye is bad, your whole body will be in darkness.”

Jesus, I Trust In You!
Come, Holy Spirit, come!
To Jesus through Mary!
Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will.
