Friends of the Rosary,
While we continue to pay our final respects to Pope Francis and mourners fill St. Peter’s Basilica, we read today (John 21:1-14) about how the Risen Jesus appears to seven disciples on the shore of the Sea of Tiberias. It was the third time Jesus was revealed to his disciples after being raised from the dead.
None of them dared to ask him, “Who are you?” because they realized it was the Lord. John the Apostle said to Peter, “It is the Lord.”
Jesus takes failing, scared fishermen and fulfills his promise to make them fishers of men.
To us, he does likewise, abolishing the slavery of sin and granting salvation in its place.
Without God, our nets will be empty; with God, they will be filled, as all things are possible. The Lord knows that sometimes we all need a little reassurance.
Ave Maria!
Jesus, I Trust In You!
Come, Holy Spirit, come!
To Jesus through Mary!
Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will. Please give us the grace to respond with joy!
