Friends of the Rosary,
In today’s Gospel (St. Luke 12:32 48), Christ Jesus is telling us to conduct our lives in God’s friendship to be ready for when the call to judgment comes.
“Gird your loins and light your lamps and be like servants who await their master’s return from a wedding, ready to open immediately when he comes and knocks. Blessed are those servants whom the master finds vigilant on his arrival.”
The Lord reveals that more will be expected of those who have received greater gifts from God than of those who have received lesser gifts.
He has made us his “little flock.” We are members of his Church, for our own eternal good. God, through Christ’s Incarnation, has put us on the road to heaven.
