Friends of the Rosary,
Today, December 26th, one day after the joyful celebration of the nativity of Jesus, is the feast of St. Stephen, the first martyr and deacon. Above all things, even life itself, we love Christ the Lord, as St. Stephen showed us.
As we read in the Acts of the Apostles today (6:8-10; 7:54-59), when he, thrown out of the city, was about to be stoned, Stephen, “filled with the Holy Spirit, looked up intently to heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the right hand of God.”
St. Stephen showed perfect conformity to Christ. He said, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit; do not hold this sin against them.”
Merry Christmas!
(Until the Feast of the Baptism of the Lord Sunday, January 11, 2026, marking the conclusion of the Christmas season and the beginning of Jesus’ public ministry).
Ave Maria
Come, Holy Spirit, come!
To Jesus through Mary!
Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will.
Please give us the grace to respond with joy!
