Friends of the Rosary,
Today’s reading in the Gospel (MT 8:23-27) presents again the marvelous story of how Christ rebukes supernaturally the winds at the sea while the apostles — meaning all of us — are dominated by fear.
The boat — the Barque of Peter, the Catholic Church — is swamped by the waves and storms provoked by darkness across time and space while the Son of God gives the answer: have faith.
“Lord, save us! We are perishing!”
He said to them, “Why are you terrified, O you of little faith?”
And that’s the root of our fear: the lack of faith in the providential Lord.
Divine energy remains unaffected by storm-generated fear. To withstand storms, we are invited to be awakened to God’s presence and learn to live at a deeper level.
Ave Maria!
Jesus, I Trust In You!
