Friends of the Rosary,
Today, on the optional memorial days of Saint John Fisher, bishop and martyr, and Saint Thomas More, martyr, we learn through the Gospel of Matthew (Mt 6:24-34) to seek the Kingdom of Heaven and its treasures first.
Jesus is saying to his disciples:
“Seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness,
and all these things will be given you besides.
Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself.
Sufficient for a day is its own evil.”
Through the gift of faith, we open ourselves to what God will reveal and invite.
We entrust our lives completely to the all-powerful God,
not worrying and depending on him.
