Friends of the Rosary,
Today, we honor the First Martyrs of the Holy Roman Church, the nameless great multitude of followers of Christ, brutally killed by the mad Emperor Nero in July and August in 64 A.D. in Rome.
These Christians in Rome were put to death, making them into living torches to light the road for the chariot of Nero, who hated the human race. This demon would commit suicide in A.D. 68 at the age of thirty-one.
Today’s feast reflects that the blood of martyrs has always been the seed of Christians. God always crowns the martyrs.
Throughout history, we realize that no human force can stop the power of the Spirit unleashed upon the world.
Ave Maria!
Jesus, I Trust In You!
Come, Holy Spirit, come!
To Jesus through Mary!
Here I am, Lord; I come to do your will.
Please give us the grace to respond with joy!
