Friends of the Rosary,
Today, March 21, 2025, marks the fifth year since we started praying the Holy Rosary of Mary daily within this community. We are grateful and rejoice in the Holy Virgin as we have found favor in her Rosary — a special grace given to us!
Just before his Passion, Jesus tells the parable of the wicked tenants (Matthew 21:33-46) to illustrate the consequences of rejecting God’s messengers and his son.
A landowner planted a vineyard, built a fence, a winepress, and a watchtower, and then leased it to some farmers. The landowner then went on a journey, and when harvest time approached, he sent his servants — the prophets sent by God — to collect his share of the produce. The tenants beat, killed, and stoned the servants and even the landowner’s son (a representation of Jesus).
Later, the tenants — who represent the religious leaders of Israel — were destroyed, and the vineyard was given to others who would cultivate it properly.
The fertile vineyard represents Israel, God’s chosen people, but it could be broadened to include the world. The Father made a place for his people to find rest, enjoyment, and good work.
We — Israel, the Church, the world — are not the owners of this vineyard; we are tenants. One of the fundamental spiritual mistakes we can make is to think that we own the world. We are tenants entrusted with caring for it, but everything we have and are is on loan. Our lives are not about us.
We must ask, How are we using the gifts that God gave us? All is for God, and thus, all is under God’s judgment.
Ave Maria!
Jesus, I Trust In You!
Saint Joseph, Pray for Us!
Come, Holy Spirit, come!
To Jesus through Mary!
