When Peter said to Jesus (Mk 10:28-31), “We have given up everything and followed you,” the Lord, knowing our weak nature, responded that anyone who follows Him will receive “a hundred times more now in this present age” and “eternal life in the age to come.”
“Many that are first will be last, and the last will be first,” He added.
Surrender all to God, living a life of complete abandonment to God’s Will, results in the fruit of the Holy Spirit, namely, love, joy, peace, hope, righteousness, and kindness. That’s true freedom!
