Friends of the Rosary:

Advent is the liturgical season of preparation for the joy and light of Jesus Christ in Christmas. The Good Lord came to the world through the Blessed Virgin Mary to save us from our darkness and sinful behavior.

God wants us immaculate after we resurrect — and for that, we need to learn to carry our own crosses graciously.

Advent also reminds us of Christ’s glorious second coming, as we read yesterday in the Gospel. The second coming — the return of Christ to earth at the end of time — is an invitation to reflect on our final days and how to vigilantly prepare for that moment.

In other words, in this waiting season, we prepare our hearts and minds for the coming of Christ at Christmas and his coming at the end of human history.

Ave Maria!
Jesus, I Trust In You!
