Friends of the Rosary,

Today’s Gospel recounts the parable of the talents (MT 25:14-30). Every talent, every ability, and everything else is given to us. The Father rightfully expects some fruit in return, according to each of our skills and knowledge.

We all participate in the building of the Kingdom of God here on Earth. Every result we produce matters, regardless of its size. We are extremely limited and, despite that, the Holy Trinity encourages us to perform remarkable acts of charity. Why is that?

That’s for our own salvation. Our souls get perfected by participating in the love of God. When we genuinely desire the good of the other and behave accordingly, the value of the talent received gets multiplied. We advance then in holiness and happiness.
