Our modern society presses us to be successful, and that’s measured by money, prestige, and influence. As long as we don’t worship money and tangible things, this is not a sin. However, the real question is if this kind of material success brings us joy that endures.
Only a prayerful life gives us peace, hope, and freedom. Mother Teresa said: “We are not called to be successful, but faithful.”
Faith — which is a graceful gift from Above — is what makes us successful. This means that we must permanently take care of our spiritual health.
Prayer opens the door to the Holy Spirit. And prayer grants us joy.
Let’s cultivate the practice of prayer starting with the Holy Rosary.
