We observe today the Feast of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, the model of faithful love for all Christian families.
The goal for every Christian family should be to live in harmony and in prayer, as a way to face challenges and difficulties, and share hopes and joys.
Families, as well as marriages, also carry their cross. Along with sacrifices, in union with Christ, families get sanctified.
A family is a domestic church and a prefiguration of the heavenly family.
Christ Himself was the first devotee of His family, remaining obedient to their parents — with respect to the fourth commandment.
