Yesterday, we reflected on the Feast of the Presentation of Mary, marking an early commencement of the Advent season.
The Universal Church of Christ inaugurates its new liturgical year on the first Sunday of December.
Advent points us both toward Christ’s Second Coming in glory at the end of time and also toward Christmas, the celebration of His first coming.
Advent urges us to stay awake and vigilant, and and prepare for that great Day of the Lord.
It’s also an invitation to recognize His presence already with us while building together the Kingdom of Heaven.
Our salvation is achieved in the community by exercising the grace of faith.
