Friends of the Rosary:
During his Palm Sunday homily in St. Peter’s Square, Pope Francis expressed that Jesus willingly took on the pain and abandonment of his Passion and Crucifixion to be with us in our times of sorrow and difficulty.
No matter the circumstance of our abandonment, Jesus is by our side. We can find the Crucified in the individuals who are forgotten, unseen, hidden, dismissed, sick, unborn, disabled, lonely, or elderly.
Pope Francis urged us to open our hearts and eyes to those who feel abandoned, in keeping with Jesus’ example of abandonment.
Palm Sunday, also known as Passion Sunday, marks the start of Holy Week. This week culminates in the Triduum of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday, and concludes with the celebration of Christ’s Resurrection beginning at the Easter Vigil.
Jesus, I Trust In You!
