Reflecting on the scene of the Nativity, the mystery of the Magi shakes us. The Three Kings journeyed from the East to pay homage to a baby born in a stable in Bethlehem.
They were overjoyed at seeing the star and prostrate in front of Christ the King of the Universe. They realized that Christ’s kingship was infinitely greater than any other temporal power on Earth.
Like the Three Kings, we should come only to adore Christ, not to political leaders. Politics, like sports and other distractions, have become a fake faith. Our real King is Jesus Christ. To him alone we owe alliance.
