Friends of the Rosary,

Like the Sadducees priests, who dominated the Temple in the first century, secularists today hold that there is no life after death.

Those who reject the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting—that we say in the Apostles’ Creed—can be conflicted people. It is hard to imagine them as convinced promoters of justice and peace. If everything fades in the end, why should they care about others? Apparently, materialists do care; in the reality, it isn’t that clear. Many secretly spend life in sadness and despair.

Jesus Christ revealed to us that the ones who rise will be like angels (LK 20;27-40). Those risen ones will be gloriously transformed and transfigured in a mysterious way, maybe even with a bodily existence.

Consequently, when you believe in the Resurrection–which is the cornerstone of Christianity–everything in this world matters.

Here on Earth, we are in the business of cleansing and purifying our souls through the constant tests we undergo. The Holy Trinity wants to receive us in Heaven spotless and immaculate.

For that, we must pursue holiness all the time. What’s interesting is that while we aim for eternity we start developing the best version of ourselves. That’s when we truly understand what’s life.
