Friends of the Rosary:
Can we serve Jesus Christ and the material world we are in at the same time?
In today’s Sunday’s reading (Lk 16:1-13), Our Lord explained to his disciples through a parable, “No servant can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and mammon.”
In the silence of our hearts, we might have set our goals in life. When we haven’t, we behave like the waves of the sea, that go everywhere. We act then erratically, becoming unhappy.
Overall, most people do not choose God. They decide to enjoy life, concentrating on money, power, honors, or pleasures. Only a minority rejects turning their back on God, pursuing a life of virtues. The Kingdom of Heaven belongs to them.
Our free will poses the fundamental question: do we serve Jesus and Mary or do we serve everything else?
Jesus, I Trust In You!
