Friends of the Rosary:
Pope St. John Paul II in 1994 urged Catholics to make the prayer to St. Michael a regular part of their lives.
The prayer, composed by Pope Leo, states:
St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil; May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; And do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the divine power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
St. Michael the Archangel is there for us in the day of battle, which is every day.
In our diocese of Bridgeport, in Connecticut, the prayer is recited at the end of every Mass, per the Bishop’s decision.
Devotion to St. Michael has been with the Church from the beginning. We invoke him for protection.
Jesus, I Trust In You!
St. Michael, St. Gabriel, and St. Raphael Pray for Us!
To Jesus through Mary!
