Friends of the Rosary,
Jesus’ Sacred Heart is filled with love for us. But it’s also encircled with thorns from men and women who do not want to love the Son of God in return. It’s our sinful condition that blinds and deceits us.
A large number of people prefer darkness instead of light. Shockingly, they choose to damage their soul, risking to fall forever into the fires of hell.
The antidote is love, unconditional love, as Jesus and Mary are teaching.
In today’s reading, Jesus encourages us to be perfect as our Heavenly Father and Son are.
For that, we must pray for those who persecute us and pardon and even love our enemies. As Jesus did with Jews, Romans, Pharisees, Sadducees, and his own disciples. Everyone betrayed, ran from, and denied Him, actively arranging for His death.
Jesus sacrificed Himself and died in a cross for all of our sins and betrayals.
As Jesus said, “No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
