In yesterday’s reading (Luke 5:33-39), people asked Jesus why He didn’t encourage fasting among His disciples. With his answer, Jesus shocked the Jewish of that time: “Can you make the wedding guests fast while the bridegroom is with them?”
The mark of Christians should always be joy, as we often experience in marriage parties.
The Author of Life and King of the Universe is dwelling with us. We should have no fear or major concerns. There is good news in the world, and that’s eternal life where we will enjoy the everlasting light.
Certainly, we all suffer many trials on Earth, but we must take them as they are: opportunities for purifying our soul and join sooner Jesus and Mary.
