In our materialistic society, it’s almost impossible to understand the eternal truth, revealed by Jesus Himself, that the Father of the Creation gives us everything we need.
In today’s reading (Lk 11:1-13), the Son of God says: “I tell you, ask and you will receive; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives; and the one who seeks, finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. What father among you would hand his son a snake when he asks for a fish?”
The Father in Heaven, who lovingly awaits us, fully understands our needs, even before we ask. And He provides in the right time and the right measure, as necessary means for our journey here on earth until we get purified and meet Him.
