Friends of the Rosary:

Last week, during one of the readings from the Gospel of John (John 15:18-21), Jesus Christ warned us to anticipate persecution.

Simultaneously, He encouraged us to get our fears in the right order: “Do not be afraid of those who can kill the body but cannot kill the soul.”

“Instead, fear the one who can destroy both the soul and body in Gehenna.”

Mind you, the body passes, but the soul, which connects us with the living God, lasts forever.

As humans, we are united with the Creator of the Universe, and in Him, we find rest and a place of safety.

Take, for example, the saints and martyrs who were never afraid of even the wickedest people. Instead, they feared God. In this way, they experienced a life free from worry, threats, and persecution.

Ave Maria!
Jesus, I Trust In You!
